recruitment focus would be on recruitment assignments for
middle and senior management level executives in a range
of functional areas including Sales and Marketing, Finance

Executive Selection involves the use of strategically placed
advertisements and database search. This method works best
where the aim is to capture as wide a field of candidates
as possible within recruitment specifications.
Executive Search is used to target individuals that meet
the recruitment criteria but are not actively seeking a
change of employment. Confidentiality and discretion are
the characteristics of this recruitment process which usually
targets specialist skills and capabilities.

Our Methodology:
Our success has been based on the consistent use of our
methodology for all our recruitment assignments. It is our
quality control measure, and your assurance, that our recommendations
come after a rigorous process designed to select the best-fit
candidate for your needs.
» Assignment
brief:
The success of the recruitment process is governed by the
initial briefing meeting between our client and us. In this
brief we will obtain the necessary job specifications to
allow us to proceed with our search on your behalf. We aim
to get a very good understanding of your business and the
position fit, the organisation’s culture, the skills
and capabilities required from the successful candidate
and any other characteristics we should be aware of.
» Advertising and database
matching:
We have interviewed many candidates for other positions
in other organisations and we will review our database to
ascertain if we already have a qualified candidate who may
meet our clients’ current needs. Should we find such
a person, we will seek approval from that person first before
putting him or her forward as a candidate for you to consider.
The objective of advertising is to cast as wide a net as
possible to capture the best candidate for the job. We will
write the advertising copy for your approval and recommend
appropriate placement in print and/or electronic media for
your sign-off.
» Candidate Interviews:
We will interview a range of candidates who meet the requirements
as outlined in the assignment brief.
We use competency based behavioural interviewing technique.
This is a proven method to elicit candidates’ capabilities
for performing the functions of the role for which they
are being considered based on experience acquired in other
roles undertaken by them. The interview is a structured
process in which a candidate’s performance and skills
can be measured against an accurate job profile designed
after the assignment brief.
» Behavioural
Profiling (optional): As an additional service to clients,
candidates can be assessed using On-line Assessment which
considers a candidate in terms of their abilities, interests,
motivation, personality, and working characteristics. This
is a powerful tool which significantly increases the potential
of making an excellent recruitment decision. » Short
Listing:
Grange Executive Recruitment will only short list candidates
who have demonstrated, through the interview process, that
they have the capabilities sought and also fit other client
criteria discussed during the assignment brief.
The shortlist provided to clients always includes the candidates’
own resume and a detailed, objective, briefing on each candidate
that reflects on the candidates’ performance and information
gathered at the interview. On acceptance of the shortlist
by the client, we will arrange interviews with candidates
at a mutually convenient time. These interviews can be conducted
either in our offices or the client’s premises.
» Reference Checking:
We believe that reference checking is one of the most important
steps in the recruitment process. Our growing reputation
in the recruitment industry is, to a large extent, due to
our efforts in obtaining information about the candidate
that is meaningful and adds to the body of knowledge already
gathered about the candidate. We provide detailed reports
on all reference checks undertaken.
» Candidate Offer:
Based on the information gathered, the client will be in
a position to make an objective selection of the best person
for the job. Grange Executive Recruitment will be happy
to guide clients in the selection process in order to arrive
at the best possible recruitment decision for the circumstances.
Following selection, Grange Executive Recruitment will
make a job offer to the preferred candidate on instruction
from the client (this includes direction on remuneration
to be offered). Grange will act as an intermediary on any
subsequent negotiations that may take place before acceptance
of the offer.
Upon acceptance of the offer, we will advise the client
on the proper documentation to confirm the terms of appointment
and commencement date.
